Melissa brings over 27 years of Senior Care experience to her role as President and CEO of Grace Adult Care. At the young age of 14 her mother began caring for seniors in her home.  Her unique experience of living and growing up with seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer’s gave Melissa insight and knowledge that you simply cannot learn at school.  She loved each and everyone of them as her grandpas and grandmas. She was present in their everyday life, ate all her meals with them and celebrated holidays with them. As young as she was  before and after school, and on the weekends, she helped with all their activities of daily living.   After graduating from Franklin Medical College she began working with New Mexicans with mental, physical, and developmental disabilities.  In 2000 her now husband helped her realize her dream and Grace Adult Care opened its doors.  “They’re the greatest generation, it’s an honor to serve them.”

Graciela  Covarrubias

Vice President of Operations

Grace discovered her calling with her deep passion for helping others. Prior to partnering with her daughter Melissa, and son-in-law Adam, Grace worked and operated her own family care home. Where like many other small business owners she had to wear many hats. This culminated in a wealth of experience that she uses today in the managing of the day to day operations of Grace Adult Care.  She is always eager to share her years of knowledge and experience with others. Grace’s desire to make a difference and celebrate seniors is her mission. Her love and compassion is felt by all who are around her. She is a model of selfless service!

Adam R. Dooley

Adam’s presence is invaluable to Grace Adult Care, his “what ever it takes” attitude is contagious and motivating! Adam has held almost every position in the facility, making him our greatest asset. His contributions and hard work over the years are the reason why Grace Adult Care has been successful. He’s really enjoyed the 13 years of working directly with our seniors and enjoys building relationships with the residents and their families and we know  that they enjoy it too! Simply put, Adam is the heart of Grace Adult Care!
